Friday Fun: Peanut Butter Pup-Cakes

(Please bear with my cell phone photos.  My fancy camera's memory card went kaputz.)

You've all met Rory, haven't you?  With all this crazy heat we've got this summer, I decided that she deserved a frozen treat too.  And ohhhhh, how she loves them.  They're quick to make and cost about 1/4 the price of similar frozen dog treats in the grocery store.  Perfection on all fronts.

And don't forget to enter the Australian goodies giveaway!  You've got until Sunday evening to enter!

Happy Weekend,
Sara

Peanut Butter Pup-Cakes
adapted from Bullwrinkle

32 oz. vanilla or plain yogurt
1 c. natural peanut butter

Line a muffin pan with silicone or paper cupcake liners.

In a microwave safe bowl, heat the peanut butter for 30-60 seconds, or until easily stirred.  Add yogurt to peanut butter and stir until completely combined.  Pour into prepared muffin pan and freeze until solid.  Makes approximately 16 pup-cakes.

  1. What kind of doggy parent doesn't unwrap their frozen cupcake treat for their pup? Jeez, what a monster. Did Rory really not eat the wrapper? Or is that picture of the wrapper sitting on the ground just cleverly staged?

    1. Ha, tricked you! Those are silicone cupcake "papers!" I like them for her treats because I don't have to try and peel off paper bits, and they won't sog up as the treat melts.
