Stuffed Bell Peppers:

4-6 large green bell peppers
1 lb Italian Sausage
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 t. minced garlic
2 T. Worchestershire sauce
1 t. salt
1 t. black pepper
1 14.5-16 oz. can diced tomatoes (can use Italian) - Do not drain
1 t. onion powder
1 t. Italian seasoning
Hot sauce
1 c. long grain rice, cooked
1/2 c. condensed tomato soup

Cut the tops off the peppers. Discards seeds and membranes. Dice the tops and set diced pepper aside.
Brown ground meat in large skillet.
Once browned, drain.
Add onion, garlic, diced peppers, worchestershire, salt, pepper, canned tomatoes, onion powder, italian seasoning, and a few splashes of hot sauce.
Allow to simmer for about 10 minutes then add cooked rice and condensed soup.
Cover and allow to simmer for about 5 more minutes.

Boil peppers for 5min, Place peppers into baking dish, salt the insides.
Fill peppers with filling and cover with foil.

Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes.
*You can add grated cheese to the tops toward the end of baking and allow to melt on the tops, uncovered.
Serve with additional hot sauce at the table.

I rated this a 4 spoon.

  1. yummy.. I love those.. no sausage for me though..

  2. Ok those look amazingly good! I may have to try these tonight!! :) Great guest post!

  3. These sound really good. Can you use a colored pepper?

  4. These look fantastic! Would you rate them high if they'd been made with beef?

  5. Callie here....I would definitely rate them just as high with beef, as I have done so. Side note....ground turkey wasn't as good, but the husband still enjoyed them. I have also used red and yellow peppers with this dish and enjoy all variaties. Enjoy!

  6. Thanks Callie for a great guest post! :)

I'll trade ya a comment for a smile!
